I’ll be reading at two events this week.
Tomorrow evening (Monday 23rd April) I’ll be taking part in the World Book Night reading extravaganza in Waterstone’s on Deansgate in Manchester, as part of a line-up of Carcanet poets that also includes Carola Luther, Evan Jones and Grevel Lindop, as well as Carcanet publisher Michael Schmidt. We’ll all be reading from our own work but also from other poets’ work we enjoy, so there will be a wide variety of poets there in words if not all in person.
Then next Saturday (28th) I’m really excited to be reading at Bishop’s House in Meersbrook Park, Sheffield. I’m not yet certain of the full line-up for the evening but there will be music as well as words, plus wine, and the setting (a historic merchant’s house within a beautiful park) is great, so it should be a lovely evening.
