Welcome to my website. I am a freelance writer, editor, and scholar, currently based in Liverpool. I also work part-time for Liverpool University Press. I have published poetry, academic articles, review essays, and a monograph (see Publications for more details, and Poems to read some of my work). My fields of interest are English literature (mainly modernism and other twentieth-century literature), poetry, and philosophy. I am currently involved in various projects, including developing plans for a festival in Liverpool in 2009 to celebrate the centenary of Wirral-born writer Malcolm Lowry and co-editing a book to accompany this. (For more details, see Projects.) I have recently published my first collection of poetry, Telling the Fractures; to find out more about the book and to order, click here.
I work as a freelance editor and writer for a wide range of clients including Tate Liverpool, Liverpool Biennial, and Axis Graphic Design in Manchester. For more information see Freelance work.
